This is a no frills Asian restaurant. Yes, it says that it is Vietnamese, but it really fuses many different cuisines. Don't expect white table cloths with attentive service, but do expect excellent food, quickly and for a good price.
Caveat - we haven't had the soups yet, but all of the rice and noodle dishes were great. Anything with black bean paste has been outstanding. Food comes quickly, and is in generous portions, we never leave here hungry.
If you want good food for a good price, and decent sized portions, this is your place. -

Not sure how authentic this restaurant is although their food comes speedy.
Reasonably priced menu makes me happy, portions are also huge. Watered down soup is the core to a bad noodle soup, therefore, noodle soups are avoidable at all cost.
Their peking duck looked quite good from the other tables...
Anyway, easy Vietnamese restaurant with peasy prices. Yay! -

Coming from a city that's more than half East Asian (Vancouver), my standards may be a little high, but none the less I found this place quite disappointing.
The menu is 80% Chinese dishes with a few Thai and Vietnamese dishes (usually specified), so don't expect much from the namesake city.
For starters I had hot and sour soup that was neither hot nor sour (wasn't terrible, some insipid beef stock with pork and cabbage thing), and my dining companion had shoft-shell crab. I didn't taste the latter but my friend was quite disappointed that his crabs arrived both cold and a bit stale. We both had the same main, black bean beef and noodles, which we understood came with thick noodles but arrived with thin egg noodles instead that came in a massive lukewarm pile with a very sparing portion of beef and vegetables with a pinch of black bean sauce. I just kind of pecked a bit at mine before abandoning it to fate.
Service wasn't terrible but was a little pushy about us ordering quickly.
Considering there's a fairly decent selection of restaurants around Greenwich, I do not recommend stopping here. -

I think this place should be renamed. Called Saigon, I would expect them to be experts at Vietnamese food, when in return, it is their Chinese food that's much better.
Prices here are wonderful; they probably even beat most places in the Chinatown area. I was soo excited to try the dishes but when mine came (the Vietnamese beef noodle salad), I was extremely disappointed. There were celery pieces in there... quite strange and something that I've never seen in Vietnamese vermicelli.
The dish was overwhelmingly salty, to the point where I just ate all the beef strips and left everything else. I highly do not recommend. As for the other dishes, my friends seemed to enjoy it, so if I do come back I will try the other stuff. -

The food here is decent but I found it kinda odd. While its supposedly a Vietnamese eatery, the menu offered a number of Chinese dishes including Szechuan pork and westernized Sweet & Sour prawns.
I ordered a vermicelli noodle dish which I thought would be a big bowl of thicker noodles and other things tossed in. What I got was a plate of thin, stir fried noodles that was exactly what i used to get at a Malaysian place.
Again, the food was decent and service and prices were fine. I suppose a few more trips are needed in order to figure out the styles.
